En exclusiva

''En el año 2000 empezó sus estudios de medicina en la universidad pero decidió dejarlos para poder dedicarse en exclusivo al baloncesto.''

A mistake? Should it be ''en exclusiva''?

La locución adverbial es 'en exclusiva'.
'en exclusivo' is certainly used, as results of an online search indicate, but it isn't proper usage.
