"Puedo tener" is a literal translation. Sometimes it won't work.
@Monkfish: "Poner", when it means "servir"/"traer", is not used in every country, but in Spain it is widely used. If you are asking for something, like in a restaurant, you may find this thread useful to see some expressions you can use. Also, watch for the uses of "usted" and "tú"... In some regions, using "tú" when talking to a waiter may be felt rude.
