(It doesn't need the accent if there's no risk of it being confused with the adjective solo. I accented it so you could see that it is an adverb.) Es sinónimo de solamente. (I wanted to show you a more common way to say it, instead of solamente.)

A la vez, solo (siempre sin acento), es un adjetivo que significa only, single, alone y lonely.

I don't read much, so I don't have any favorite authors.

Rusty,

You must read grammar books at least! You always know how to answer everyone's questions!

Well, right now I would say

Laura Restrepo
Isabel Allende
Angela Becerra
Javier Marias
Angeles Mastretta

are a few of my favorites.

In English, well, that's harder. I read mostly nonfiction in English.

I haven't a book special in my mind but I can telling you that the creators of books as the most sold in the worldwide is the of Harry potter. I never have read the book but if the book is the same that the movie then I don't like much the story.

I don't know there are diversity of opinions between the people of the world.

Add an 'h' after the 't', and you'll have your answer.

I don't understand Michael Crichton's books that much. I have the Jurassic Park book and I've read the Lost World, which comes after it, before. I want to read the Lost World again. I just finished reading Jurassic Park.

It's so sad the Crichton died

I don't know if there are other mistakes besides the ones I corrected (if I corrected it correctly, lol)

His books get overly technical as a result of his PhD in medicine, and his love (and education) of science. His last few books were a little too political for me as well. I enjoyed Jurassic Park and the Lost World very much (they're much better than the movies). But Congo and Sphere were my favorites. Terminal Man was also pretty good (might be a little adult for your age, though.) I enjoyed Timeline, though I heard the movie was absolutely awful.

That's funny, because Asimov, Tokien, and Kipling are like the polar oposite of short story writers. I'm only vaguely familiar with Agatha Christie and Terry Prattchet, and I do not know the others.

Ah, I guess I've only heard of longer stuffs.

For my money, no one can write a better short story than Ray Bradbury. I lost count of how many of his short story collections I have.

Does anyone like O'Henry's short stories? They are some of my faves.
