@Bob: Sí, es correcto. El infinitivo, en ese caso, funciona como un sustantivo.
Estoy tan enojada, que tengo ganas de gritar. I'm so angry, that I want to scream. (In feminin, inspired by another thread.)

A common English translation of tener ganas de is to feel like.
Tener ganas de bailar To feel like dancing.
