Question Nightgown
What is the best word to use for the "nightgown" used in a hospital. I.e., in Spanish is not "el pijama" (Spain) or "la pijama" (México), although I guess I could get away using it.

I would use "camisón" or even "bata de enfermo"

What word is used in US hospitals when talking in Spanish?

What about Mexican, Chilean, Argentinean, Phillippine, etc. usages?

Bata aquí también.

Para dormir "en casa", las/los pijamas son de dos piezas; los camisones son de una sola pieza y cerrados; las batas son abiertas (se cierran con botones, cierres --cremalleras--, o una cinta en la cintura); y las batas de los hospitales se amarran con varias cintas a la altura del cuello y/o de la cintura (a veces es un verdadero rompecabezas saber cuál va con cuál).

En los estados unidos, cuando hablar sobre esta (bata) fuera el hospital, nos aludimos a esta como bata de hospital, pero adentro el hospital, especialmente, entre empleados, ellos aluden como bata.

En las filipinas, según qué región, bata o gown se utiliza. O para ser specifico, bata sa ospital o gown sa ospital (hospital gown) es usado.
