El Vocabulario Único de mi Señora
¡Mi señora dice a veces palabras que no oigo de nadie más! El otro día me dijo "¡Qué día más axiante hace!", ¡parece que quiere decir 'agobiante'!
¿Hay alguien más que puede confirmarlo? A lo major es una palabra regional de Extremadura.

Suena más a "asfixiante" (suffocating).

Acá muchos lo pronuncian "ahhicsiante" con la s y la f devenidas en una h aspirada larga y una i casi inexistente. Yo mismo lo pronuncio "ahficsiante" cuando hablo rápido.

That s for j substitution is predominate in In the Caribbean. Many people use it occasionally, somehow knowing that it sounds colloquial almost the way some people use ain't in English fully knowin' that it ain't right (myself included).
