I dont thinks so but its a nick name I got from one of my employees because I wont eat octopus, so I guess when it comes to food I am a little bit. Yeah picky is correct but they spell it piki so as they say when in Rome lol
but when it comes to speaking spanish with people who speak spanish I freeze up and cant remember what to say, I know a lot of people who are learning english who have the same problem, they know alot of english when they talk to me but let someone they dont know come along and its all forgotten, I think it comes with being comfortable, or rather confident with what you know, and in spanish I dont know enough yet, no where near, hopefully one day tho Last edited by Rusty; March 22, 2009 at 09:42 PM. |

we are not alone, lol, but in time we can get there, I manage a carwash, most all of my employee's only speak spanish so i get to practice and they get to laugh at me all day, but we have one customer who is korean and he speaks spanish fluently, my employee's are amazed at how well he speaks spanish and love to talk to him when he comes in to get his car washed.

Welcome,
I am also very self-conscious about speaking Spanish. I worry about my pronunciation but the only way to really learn is to practice. Last edited by TJtacos; March 23, 2009 at 10:21 PM. Reason: some how post this in the wrong place!! |

me gustan mucho los mariscos. Y en ingles es mejor decir " I don't like fish or seafood" o " I don't like fish or seafood either", o " I don't like seafood " porque pescado es un maricso. Please feel free to correct my spanish anyone, thats why i'm here Last edited by PIKI; March 23, 2009 at 04:54 PM. |
