Exclamation El timo de la estampita

How can we use this term in English? I´ll set an example in Spanish:

ANdaté con ojo, han dicho en la tele que a una Señora de 70 años le han estafado 300 euros con el timo de la estampita.

Can anybody translate this??

No encuentro ese mismo estufo en la lista de estufos en Wikipedia (EN). Lo más cercano sería "a goldbricking scam" o "selling her a pig in a poke".
