This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for July 26, 2008
sombra - feminine noun (la) - shade. Look up sombra in the dictionary Una de las razones por las que me gustan los árboles es porque dan sombra. One of the reasons I like trees is because they give shade.

Sombra también quiere decir "shadow".......
There was a television program many years ago called "The Shadow"....I've heard of it but know nothing of it. Elaina
