What are the constructions "se nos" and "se me" known as? Some special type of reflexive pronouns? I would like to learn more about phrases like this, but I don't know what to google! I don't understand how they work, I have very basic understanding. To me, "se nos enseña" reads as "he teaches us" not "we are taught". I am confused.

There is no way a construction with "se nos enseña" would include a "he" in the translation. You might find this discussion useful.
