Hi Rhiannon, I can help you start a new thread. It's not that hard Cuídate, with the accent mark, means take care or take care of yourself. It comes from the verb cuidar.

i understood everything but the cuidate part.

well, we used to work together & we were constantly trying to setup to meet outside of work to hang out with our children together, etc. however, each time, 9 times out of 10, she had a reason to back out or just plain didn't show, etc. one day i forgot about our meeting and wrote her right away the next day apologizing and setup a new time the following day, meeting at her apartment. i arrived there on time with my son, and she wasn't there. she even had confirmed it that morning that i would be seeing her that day at that time, and she wasn't even there. i waited a bit, she never showed. i drove a half hour to see her, with gas i barely had available... so it was not a good thing for me, i was rather upset, left a message on her phone, left a note in her mailbox... she wrote that message to me a week after we were supposed to have met.

Context means everything doesn't it? In that case what she wrote is perfectly reasonable. Hope you get together with her!

yes it does! i finally got back in touch with her recently.... taking things slow. i'm still rather hurt... but i'm hoping things patch up. she is a good person.... it's just frustrating is all. *shrugs* gracias por ayudarme!
