Cobrar fuerzas

El huracán cobró fuerza y pasó de categoría 3 a 4.

To recover one's strength would be "recobrar fuerzas":

Es decir, cada vez se está más en lo cierto, o que sea posible.

Yes, but that would be "cobrar", instead of "recobrar". "Recobrar" would mean "volver a cobrar"

Dicho esto pienso que me gustaría "recobrar" a fin de mes, en lugar de cobrar
