Crepúsculo

How common is the word Crepúsculo? Dusk and twilight are common words in English, but I've never actually heard the word crepúsculo used in common speech (I've read it a few times).

If it's not common, what other word could I use to translate dusk or twilight? Would "el anochecer" be the best option?

crepúsculo is very common in writings and songs. It's not so in common speech, because it's a very concrete roomtime
So crepúsculo can be both morning ("aurora","alba") or nightfall ("anochecer")

We say
do you say "I went fishing at noon/at the evening/at nightfall/at daybreak" or
"I went fishing at twilight" ?

so crepúsculo is a very very common read, but not so common speech.
Hope it helps

Yes, that sure does help. dusk is a word I would use in common speech, but twilight, probably not.

Thanks!
