Question Congress member

In Spanish I would say "congresista".
But my question here is if I want to say "miembro del Congreso" and the person is a woman, what would be the correct way to say it?

La/una miembro del Congreso
La miembra del Congreso () ?
La representante del Congreso ?
Does anyone have any other good option? (besides using "congresista" which will be for both men and woman, without having to say "congresisto" for a man! )

¿Se puede decir "diputada del Congreso"?

Voto por "congresista", pero siempre se puede decir naturalmente, de "Fulana de Tal", que es miembro del Congreso, aunque alguna "femi" tenga problemas con ello.

En México, puede ser diputada o senadora, por cierto.

I concur... o sea, que 'concurro'... uy, no, que eso un falso amigo... ah, no, DRAE da una definición como 'convenir', 'ser de un mismo parecer y dictamen'. Pues, sí, lo dicho, concurro, señora congresista de los Alcáceres...
Sí, en España también hay senadoras y diputadas, hay sanadoras y las hay que hacen trastadas... pero eso es otro tema. [No hace mucho leí en el blog de Arturo Pérez Reverte un artículo con un poquito de choteo sobre los nombres en femenino... o en masculino... no me acuerdo de los ejemplos que usaba, pero algo así como decir que yo no soy 'altruísta' sino 'altruístO' por ser varón... (ay-ay-ay) O ser un deportisto, en vez de 'deportista'... pero eso es ya rizar el rizo...]
