Pretty much like here in the U.S.

Trabajas toda una vida, para después ir a recoger tu retiro con un pañuelo, porque es un moco lo que te dan para sobrevivir.

Yes it's right here in Mexico people old work having around 70 years old, and it for me is very bad and frightful, because the people of that age should be enjoying the end of their life.

Yes maybe it could be in some people, but well the majory that I have met in during my life, all they say that it better be resting the end of the life than working until pass the 60 years old.

Thanks (!!), and yes, Malila - Rusty picked up on my meaning. The context of the conversation was that if you love what you do, it's not really "work". In my opinion, whether I love it or hate it, I don't want to stop working. Is there a better way to say that in Spanish?

No, actually, Here4good, I'm not young, but I am single and childless. That's part of why I want to keep working. The idea of retirement is terrifying to me because I will be completely alone and with nothing to do. I hate weekends, Fridays are depressing ... I can't imagine having a "last day" of work with nothing to look forward to ... ever.............

Te siento porque he estado enfermo para unos pocos meses y no puedo trabajar o ir al universidad. Todo el tiempo estoy aburrido, a ese punto si yo pudiera , trabajaría de gratuito, solamente para ocupararme.
