I said that the origin of the word was a drink made with cebada, barley, but I think nobody makes horchata with barley nowadays. Spanish horchata is made with tigernuts (chufas), sugar and water. We don't use neither milk nor coconut (para mí eso sería un batido de coco).

Beer is made with barley, so you can imagine what kind of taste it had in Roman times.
I can imagining me it, it could result very delicious with barley the beer.
Although I prefer the Tequila.

The barley here is very famous with the people who adore in the soda.
Barley soda.

Barley soda? Is soda gaseosa? I've never tasted soda, I think it's like gaseosa.

En en-us "soda" es cualquier bebida carbonatada. En en-gb es agua carbonatada, y creo que eso es lo que es "gaseosa" en España. (En otros países puede ser más general...)

Yes it's a soda, also the barley is made in a soda here in Mexico.
