Need someone to talk to in Spanish
Hi. I just registered and am looking for someone to talk to online and on the phone. I am trying to become bilingual but I can't find anyone to practice withp so it's difficult :/
If anyone can help me out it'd be appreciated. I need to talk in Spanish as much as possible. |

Nobody that you know speaks Spanish? Where I live, we don't have that many native Spanish speakers, but we do have some. Since I'm a beginner right now, I can use all the practice I can get--so what I have been doing is asking everyone I meet "What is your second language?" Even if they only speak English natively, it turns out that the vast majority of people have taken a language in school, esp. Spanish. So I say anything I know how to say in Spanish in Spanish rather than English. Unfortunately it annoys some people. For my mom (who has never taken Spanish) I say it first in Spanish, and then translate it into English. Eventually she will learn it (I hope.) If I don't know how to say it is Spanish, I say it in English, but try to switch back to Spanish during the conversation, rather than speaking completely in English. And everyone that I know has ever taken Spanish I always greet in Spanish, not in English.

Find a Spanish congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and start attending meetings. As you learn about Jehovah and Jesus Chris, your Spanish comprehension grow by leaps and bounds. Mere para una congregación español de Testigos de Jehová y comenzar a asistir las reuniones.

Might I ask where you live?
In basically any city in Europe there is either a Mexican restaurant or a Spanish bar, it's my experience that they always have someone working there wanting to learn the native language. Another thing you can do is contact a nearby university and ask them if they can put up a notice explaining your situation. Peter |

I live in Florida. I'd love to have someone to call. I'm not sure if there would be long distance charges though.
