Our father, which art in heaven (statement: indicative)

Hallowed be thy name (=I hope that your name is hallowed = may your name be hallowed) subjunctive

Thy kingdom come = may your kingdom come subjunctive

Thy will be done = I really hope that your will is done (subjunctive, not a future )

On earth, as it is in heaven indicative

Give us this day .. imperative

Get the idea?

Hi laepelba: I love subjunctive because it's wider and wildest than indicative. It's necessary I learn to use in english.
Ahora te escribo lentamente para que entiendas mejor mi castellano.
Entonces, "plugging along" también lo encontré gloogueando, pero mis conocimientos de inglés (y sinceramente un poquito de flojeritis) no me permitieron colmar esa laguna en mi saber por lo que fui a ver en los diccionarios sin encontrar nada. Quizás mis diccionarios no son de los mejores. Mis más cordiales saludos y la esperanza de volver a cruzarnos.
