Hi Everyone,

I was born in Ukraine, but have lived in Australia most of my life. I studied Italian at school, but have finally decided to defect to Latin American Spanish. Sometimes my familiarity with Italian helps, sometimes it hinders...

It's true, I wrote the some thing just two days ago: sometimes, when you try to talk/write in Spanish, your Italian knowledge just drives you out of the way!!

Apart from jokes, if you are careful and if you bear in mind certain differences, switching from Italian to Spanish is rather easy, so it shouldn't take more than a few months for you to learn Spanish.

However, I'm happy to learn that Italian is studied also on the opposite side of the world!
