Hola Andrew. Bienvenido/Welcome to the forum. I'm glad you're here.
If you have questions about the Spanish language we have answers.
Si tienes preguntas sobre el idioma español nosotros tenemos las respuestas.
Preguntas difíciles contestamos de inmediato. Las mas dificiles preguntas nos
tomamos un poco más tiempo para responder. We answer the most difficult
questions about Spanish immediately. The really difficult questions might
take us a little longer to answer.
A proposito/BTW, Andrew. The hardest letter to pronounce in Spanish for English speakers is the letter "R". If you're from Scotland and speak with a Scottish accent then the Spanish "R" sound will be easy for you.
If a Spanish word starts with the letter "R" it has the same sound as two rs. Repeat after me:
rápido, Rosa, Roma, rico, Ricardo, Roberto, ramo, remo, rabo,
carro, barrio perro, enterrado, amarra, cerro, arreglar, corro
Ere con ere cigarro, ere con ere barril, rápido corren los carros cargados de azúcar del ferrocarril.
R with R cigar, R with R barrel, quickly run the cars loaded with sugar on the railroad.
