Translation for a phrase???
My Dad used to tell us kids this saying that was given to my grandfather by Pancho Villa; but the spanish has been lost since my dad's death. The english translation went like this:
"Assume everything, trust no one. Take rest and pleasure, where you can." Any help with this, would be extremely appreciated. And if it helps, my Grandfather was from the town of Zacatecas in northern Mexico. |

Re: Translation for a phrase???
After General Pershing and the U.S. Army burned the military academy that my grandfather was attending they marched on and held hostage Mexico City. Meanwhile, Fransico and his boys found my grandfather and his compadre's from the school; and those who would joined up to fight along side Villa. Mariano Zavala (mi abuelo) learned how to blow things up for the revolution. I have a grand-aunt somewhere in California (U.S.A.) that has a picture taken with Mariano and Fransico at the train station in Zacatecas.
