Unfortunately, what your wife believes in is not the troll itself. Just like the voodoo doll, it in itself has no power but if you believe in those things, a voodoo doll just like the troll can be very powerful. Diabetes is a very real illness and it is unfortunate that your son has it. The good thing is that medicine has come a long way and your son, with the proper medical treatment can live a long and productive life.

Be patient with your wife. It is very hard for her to accept your son's illness and she is grasping on to whatever she can find to help her son. She needs your support, love and understanding.

Your son also needs both of you and needs good medical care. A little help from above wouldn't hurt either.

Un abrazo, Crotalito, espero que tu hijo supere su enfermedad y crezca sano. La dieta es muy importante, llevarlo de paseo, que respire aire fresco, que haga ejercicio regularmente, que coma fruta que no tenga mucha azucar, verduras...Todo eso ya lo sabras.

No creo que una supersticion como la de los trolls os ayude mucho. Si sois personas religiosas bien podriais pasar con el unas vacaciones en el santuario de la virgen de Lourdes y pedirselo con fervor. Mi padre tuvo problemas de respiracion, fueron y ahora esta mucho mejor.

The GlucoWatch is not being manufactured anymore. I don't know if there were problems with it and "they" (manufacturers) decided they had to remove it from the market. Maybe a new one is being made but not yet. I will keep my ears and eyes open in case a new one is developed.
