Useful phrases using verbs + infinitives

I mean useful constructions that are made from conjugated verbs plus an infinitive.

Like how acabar de means to have just done something.. although acabar means to finish. I am just looking for simple phrases that can be created like this. They don't really have to be that exact construction though. I guess I am just looking for idiomatic expressions that are common in everyday speech.

Acabar has several uses and figures into hundreds of phrases. Have a look here for some examples. The second usage on that page can also mean to run out of something. Some uses have no preposition. Others do. A pronominal form also exists.

Volver a can mean to do something again, as in Vuelvo a leer el libro. (I'm reading the book again.)

Ir a is used to form the simple future tense, meaning to be going to do something in the near future. , as in Voy a leer el libro esta tarde. (I'm going to read the book this afternoon.)

Acabo de leer un libro muy bueno. (I just finished reading a very good book)

Vuelvo a leer el mismo libro por décima vez (I again read the same book for a tenth time.) Not even close! :-)

Voy a leer el mismo libro por cuarta vez

I am going to read the same book a fourth time.

They are "beggin/end an action" sentences.
you can find synonymus, but I don't remember similar options.
