Smile Hola/Hello!

Hello! My name is Meag and I am from the United States (Ohio, actually!). I am currently in my second year of living and teaching English in Seville, Spain and I love it. I have registered for this site for a couple of reasons. First, I will be returning home to the states in June and will be taking an exam to measure my Spanish skills and allow me entrance into a licensure program to teach high school Spanish. It is called the Praxis II 0191 test, is anyone familiar with it? Secondly, I spend the majority of my days speaking in Spanish but very rarely get an opportunity to practicing writing. And finally, I always love meeting new people!

Thanks in advance for any help

(and please correct my mistakes!!)

-Meag

(1) "Algunas" sounds strange for me... I'd use "por varias razones".
(4) "Por fin" is rather used when you talk about something you've been waiting for: "¡Por fin dejó de nevar!", "¡Por fin acabé la lista!"
For concluding a paragraph it's better to say "finalmente".
(5) "Encantar" is some sort of superlative, so it rarely admits any emphasis. So it's better to say simply "me encanta conocer gente nueva".
