Translation attempt

“I’ve always despised lying through my teeth,” Kenda thinks as he dangles high above the pine trees, one hand wrapped in the thin rope holding his weight, as the other reaches skyward, “but how could I reveal such a horrid tale of truth in the presence of the woman I love?

[] = surely there is a better word choice?

This are ok
This is my translation without seeing yours:

* I'm not sure, the second one I think is apropiated.

If you have doubts I will be glad to try to uncover it.

Siempre he despreciado mentir descaradamente.

¿"Lying through my teeth" significa "mentir descaradamente"?

Thank you everyone!

So, when using the ¿, always place it at the beginning of a question? Even if this is in the middle of a sentence?
