@ irmamar
Hi. I got to know what you are looking for. Basically, India is a vast country and only one central administration was difficult. Hence it was decided to divide the country into states on the basis of language. Many people even in India do not know this but the fact is that there is no official language of the COUNTRY. We are free to converse in any language. But English and Hindi are the official language of the UNION. Hence these are the two most spoken languages in the country. About why English couldn't replace Hindi? Great britain ruled India for several centuries. Hence, English was firmly engrained in our system. Till independence, even Hindi wasn't popular. It was spoken only in a handful of states. Hence, both English and Hindi are the official languages of the Union in my country.Hence I am able to talk to you here. ![]() There are several hundred languages in India(many of which I dodnt even know the names of). But the origins of all these languages were Sanskrit and Devnagiri. Devnagiri was the script of indo-european settlers in the early the time after death of Christ. All languages spoken in India have originated from these 2 scripts. Any more queries are welcome. |

Lol...
well officially a union consists of small set of guilds that the leader invites. The guilds can be both from the country as well as from other countries. A country, on the other hand, consists of all the citizens of the country. Hope I am making sense this time around... ![]() |
