¿Qué significa "sado"?

I inserted the part that was missing (and there is also a parenthetical help inserted after the word 'lado' in the original that describes the 'side' village) so that others could help.

You started the translation just fine, wereger.
The next phrase - ganarse la vida - is an idiomatic expression, but it should be easy to find in a good dictionary.
'Yendo' is the present participle of 'ir'.
'Todos los días' = everyday
'A pie' = idiomatic expression meaning 'by foot'.
All the other words can be found in a good dictionary, except the conjugated verbs. There are web sites that help you with those, too.

Give translation another try, and if you have questions about a specific word or phrase, we'll be able to offer more focused help.

Thumbs down

In my grandmother's village lived a woman that lived her life walking everyday by foot, searching nearby to do errands that her neighbors paid for.
It does not look well...

You did pretty well.

ganarse la vida = earn one's living
... there lived a woman who earned her living ...

What's the translation of 'por el bosque' or 'al pueblo de al lado'? The woman didn't 'search nearby'. The translation of 'encargar' isn't 'pay for something', although the concept is understood because the woman was earning her living by running the errands.
