Question Wind sprint

Hola a todos,

¿Cómo se dice "wind sprint" en español?

Según el DRAE,
sprint 1. m. Dep. Aceleración que realiza un corredor en un tramo determinado de la carrera, especialmente en la llegada a meta para disputar la victoria a otros corredores.

Pero "wind sprint" es más que "sprint" a secas...

wind sprint
Noun: A form of exercise involving moving from a walk or slow run to a faster run and repeatedly reversing the process.

¿arrancadas? ¿picadas o piques? ¿carreras cortas de entrenamiento? ¿carreras cortas con cambio de dirección? ¿todo eso junto?

Bueno, gracias Alec, creo que tus opciones son válidas. Creo que "carreras cortas cronometradas" o "sprints de entrenamiento" me valen en el contexto.

Si alguien tiene alguna otra idea, o algo que se use en el ámbito del atletismo, pues siempre será bienvenido.
