It depends on the culture, the region and the parents.
"Tú" can be perceived as a closer and more affectionate relationship, while "usted" is meant to be respectful and for some ears it may sound rather distanced. This doesn't mean that children using "tú" love more their parents than those using "usted" though. ![]()
