My guess, friendlier should be used instead of more friendly, but people use the latter no matter what.

Slowlier, does nor exist.

Slower = más lento

More slowly = más lentamente

Rusty has a spectacular aura aboutRusty has a spectacular aura about
friendly - adjective - can become a comparative or a superlative
slowly - adverb - cannot be a comparative or a superlative
The adverb can be modified with the adverbs more and most, however. That's why 'more slowly' is possible.
