I don't really need her to teach her any English. She is not very good at spelling hard words, and most of the time she asks me how to spell it. She wants me to type because I type fast. She doesn't know how to type. Like you know, type as typing on a keyboard. She does know English, but of course my English is slightly better. She is good at English and understand it, but sometimes there's something she won't understand

let me tell you something- my parents are immigrants from China. they were born in China and they immigrated to Canada. We then moved to the U.S.
my mom didn't know any english when she was at the airport in Canada. ^^ now she knows english but she's not as good as me of course (she mostly speaks in Chinese to us but she also speaks English but sometimes she needs help on spelling. also, she can't type and usually have me type emails for her).
I hope someday you will be good at English. Are your children good at English? when you are better at English, you will be able to come here ^^ then you will understand everything. ^^

ohh I understand you really want to go to the U.S. to see what's it's like. I hope someday you will have the opportunity to visit or even live here in the U.S. we might even meet one day ^^

I know you'd like to go to America because of the many things you can do here, but I'm sure Mexico is not ugly. I have never been there and bet that is a wonderful place The reason we don't go there is because my parents don't know any Spanish and we don't have much time to go on a vacation. But I'm sure Mexico is beautiful.

Sentido has many different meanings in Spanish, so it has many different meanings in English. The phrase you used has the following translation:

= ... to give (some) meaning to ...
