Gracias por la invitación de amistad. Un poco acerca de mí. Soy de los EE.UU del estado de Oklahoma. Soy algo viejo(no tengo ganas de compartir mi edad.. jaja)Hace 5 años que he estado estudiando el español y decía que mi nivel de español es intermedio. La razón que decidía aprender el español es porque tengo un amor profundo para el juego de fútbol(Veo La Liga y apoyo Barca aunque no sé hablar el cátala)y he habido envuelto con el idioma por toda mi vida. De momento, no escucho mucho la música o ver muchas películas por eso mi español no es tan bueno como deba. Tomé un descanso pero ahora estoy para volver a enfocar en mis estudios.

I think your last message stated that you weren't interested in a class in Mexican history, but because you had to take it, you actually developed an interest in it? My Spanish is far from perfect, but I believe I understand your message. That's a good point! The same kind of thing happened with me and a philosophy class. I definitely see your point. If requiring languages causes someone to develop an interest in it, I guess it is worth it after all. In your opinion, do you think there should be requirements in high school AND college? Personally, I now see that they would be acceptable in high school, but for college, I think students have a good enough idea if they'd like to learn a foreign language.

If you'd like, feel free to reply in Spanish! I might not get every word, but I will surely get what you're saying. If not I can always use a dictionary.
