"Ahuecar el ala" is indeed widely used in Mexico. It's too colloquial and addressed to someone else to ask them to leave immediately a place is rude, or one must have a very close relationship to them so they'll understand it as a joke and not be offended.
Ahueca el ala. No te quiero ver aquí. Out of here now. I don't want to see you here. A ver, niños, ahuecando el ala. Váyanse a hacer escándalo a otra parte. Alright, children, get out of here right now. Go make your noise somewhere else. Pues mejor voy ahuecando el ala. Ya se me hizo tarde para llegar a mi cita. I'd better beat it. I'm already late for my appointment.
