dictionaries that might have words and phrases related to medical research, especially in the area of medical genetics.

I'm sorry I can not help you. You should go to a doctor... just to ask for some books.
Anyway, if nobody gives you a good piece of advice on this subject, I think you can propose some words or expressions and we'll try to translate it into Spanish. I hope it will be not hard if the words are not very technical.
Some words I can tell you, maybe you know them:
Genética, gen, genes, gen dominante, cromosoma, herencia, hereditario, ADN, ARN, genotipo, fenotipo, mapa genético, proteína, gemelos, mellizos, cosanguinidad, cosanguíneo...

It will be difficult to find what you are looking for on-line. I do believe they exist, unfortunately I wouldn't know where to guide you.

Maybe tackling a word or phrase here and there we would be able to help you. Some of us are medical interpreters/translators and may have the resources to find certain things.
