Un despropósito
Tonight I went to see the latest Almodovar´s film " Los amantes pasajeros" The passenger lovers or the temporary lovers, translated into English as "I´m so excited". I did like it but I think it was a despropósito.
Totally crazy. Is there an expression for un despropósito. It means totally crazy, more or less.

I'd think of absurdity, nonsense...,
"Decir despropósitos" is to make stupid remarks... Let's see what the native English speakers have to say...

Both absurdity and nonsense have many synonyms. One that I personally like is hogwash but I'm not sure it fits what you have in mind.
