Thematic glossaries

hello

is there a good reference to find thematic glossaries?

for example, a list of verbs that express movement, a list of adjectives that express position, a list of adverbs that express time, a list of verbs that express crafts, a list of nouns that express virtues, etc

thanks

Yeah - that would be FABULOUS! I just bought an "Oxford Picture Dictionary" with English & Spanish pictures/captions. But they're mostly nouns. I'd love an online resource as described by "lingos".

Some of those categories might be too wide, such as "verbs that express movement", but I can really see the need for something like this. I have had plans for some thematic (and illustrated) lists of words, but what I had in mind was more like a picture dictionary. List like you suggest sound like a really good idea.

So I don't know if anything like this exists anywhere else, but I'm going to take you up on it and create some.

Well, I meant that I wondered if there were resources like that "out there". But if it's something you want to add to Tomísimo, David - go right ahead. I wish I could help you develop those lists ... a task like that would be right up my alley. Alas - my Spanish is still so novice!

Will you post a comment here (eventually) when you've started something like this for us to look at?

Thanks!

Yes, I'll post here or make an announcement somewhere on the site when I've started something like this.
