Help with translation "by"

I've been working on this sentence for a while but have been trouble getting it right since it's in a list.

"Reduce exposure to workers by
1) providing workers with useful information
2) ...."

I am mostly having trouble with the "by" section of the sentence.

Can anyone help?

Hello Izzy. By could be translated into "por", generally, but in this case I think it would be "mediante": Reducir la exposición de los obreros mediante una adecuada información.

Well, I'm not quite sure about what you're asking about. Is Spanish your first language?

Thanks, but I'm not a teacher and I don't want to be. My husband is a teacher and he is always so much stressed! I work with machines, they're more obedient than children.
