Did he get married? or Is he involved with someone?

Hay algunas personas que creen que porque ya te casaste o porque estás envuelto con alguien ya te "metieron el cuerno".....encuernó.....which is not grammatically correct.

These are the two ways I've heard it used........can't guarantee that it is the correct translation.

i'm not sure I know what you are asking, did he get married? is he involved? maybe you can just translate it literally or just "encuerno".

Welcome Rcervo. Do you have any more context for the phrase?

A couple more options:

Is it a misspelling of se encueró (he took off his clothes)?

Could encuernarse mean to get mad?

There's no way to translate it literally......

No me digas que se encuernó.........=........ Don't tell me he is married (or involved with someone)

OR

Did he get naked? (Tomísimo's suggestion that it may be misspelled)

Obviously more information or context is needed......

Yep, more context is needed.

In all the searching I've done on the Internet this morning, the word appears to be a newer word that is catching on. From what I can tell from the context, it is always used in a vulgar fashion, suggestive of intercourse.

It could also be a misspelling, as suggested by David. The word 'stripped' (encuerado) is misspelled encuernado plenty of times on the Internet.

The Pope spoke at the Encuerno de las Familias in February 2008. What does encuerno mean in this case?

Encornar means to sprout horns, but its preterite tense form is not encuernó.

encuerno follow up

my boyfriend updated his status on facebook to "Single". Someone posted the comments below in response to this update.

1. Single???? ¿Qué pasó con Renee....?No me digas que se encuernó...digo, porque tu nos perteneces...HELLO!!!!

2. Ay Diohhhh mio.!!! Un consejo "un clavo saca otro clavo" palabras con luz.

the attached photo was also added at time of status update. The chick with her hands on my boyfriends chest wrote the first comment.

No need to comment on my situation, if you could just translate for me, that would be perfect.

Thanks

Very nice your ask about it, I think what the mean more correct of translate this prhase is undersntand it, how you can give it a meaning to that prhase, I don't know what meaning has it, se encuerno, in a place where there are animals and any animal can hurt you. I don't know it could be so, el toro te encuerno.

On behalf of all us, I bid you welcome to the forums.

I sorry but I don't know what is se encuerno.

Tu novio te puso los cuernos, eso seria mas correcto y mas usado.

Well, from the additional context I can almost assure you that the word "encuerno" is as suggested by Rusty.........a vulgar way of saying......

The other reason I am saying that is because of the other thing that you mention...........un clavo saca otro clavo.....

almost there

Ok, can someone interpret what is being said as closely as possible. I mean, I get what's going on. I would still like to have an approximation of what it says. Can someoe translate the rest of the sentence and the other comments that I posted?

Thanks so much for your help. I am extremely grateful!!!

I think I am getting the gist of this..........

Your boyfriend posted as single.....

Someone who knows you guys, know you were an item but since he posted as single, they want to know if you (Renee) got fed up and got "encornada" (got tangled up on the horns that he was making you wear)

When someone is being unfaithful, it is said that....le está poniendo los cuernos (büey)

So this person is saying that your boyfriend belongs to "them"....and anyways if that is the case, there are a lot more fish in the sea...

Ahhhh.........what a tangled wed we weave when first we practice to deceive.....

In this case I would venture to say encuerno might be a misspelling of encuentro.

Encuentro de las Familias Summit of the Families

Here's one answer, but like Rusty says, it looks like it's a new word / new usage.
