Mucho ruido y pocas nueces

¿Alguien puede decirme que significa esta expresión por favor?

Es algo como: Much ado about nothing?

Entonces puede significar:
- Much ado about nothing (como lo he supuesto)
- A storm in a teacup
- A tempest in a teapot (eso es la primera vez que oigo este dicho)
- Don' t make a mountain out of a molehill

Lo que entiendo, porque son más o menos sinónimos (they mean more or less the same).

Pero:
- All mouth and no trousers
- All talk and no action

Estas fraces me parecen significar más algo como 'uno tiene una ' boca grande' pero no hace nada' ? ¿No es exactamente lo mismo como 'exagerar algo/ hacerlo fuera de proporción' como las primeras 4 frases?

¿Quiere decir que 'mucho ruido y pocas nueces' tiene los dos sentidos?

It depends All talk and no action and all mouth and no action is the closest to mucho ruido y pocas nueces. ( When somebody speaks) the other ones are more related to actions. In Spanish mucho ruído y pocas nueces has got two meanings " Verbally" as you said sb that talks a lot about something and does nothing. In fact this is the main meaning.

In spanis, it's mainly "much ado about nothing". Lots of speaking/action/effort but at the end poor/no result. Examples: politics, goverment measures, and so on.
También vale para películas ó aparatos que reciben mucha publicidad pero que luego no son tan buenos.

Sí por las personas politicas especialmente eso es muy cierto..

En Holanda se dice:

Veel geschreeuw, weinig wol --> Muchos gritos, poca lana..
(Es muy parecido al dicho español entonces )
