Not in Chile. And I haven't heard it in a while...not sure if it is/was used in Spain.

Es una frase un poco artificial, pero los que hemos leído comics o visto muchos dibujos animados, tendemos a usarla con frecuencia.

...Es más común escuchar "qué diablos", "qué demonios", "qué cuernos"... y otras menos "publicables".

que diantres se usa en España, y no mucho, a veces se dice que leñes, viene a ser un equivalente a Blimey! or something like that !

se usa mucho en cómics infantiles para evitar decir otras palabras malsonantes.
También en algunas películas de época,

Por aquí, un niño revoltoso es un "pingo"... de acuerdo con el diccionario, nada qué ver con un diablo, pero se relaciona con hacer "diabluras".

En chile un pingo es un caballo.

and pingo with an "a" instead of an "o" is a very vulgar term, but only in some countries
