Hi from Orion
I am 75 years old, living in Newark, CA, and I want to learn Spanish. I speak some Spanish from earlier study and travel to Costa Rica and Argentine, but an not fluent.

I am fluent in Japanese, from my time as a missionary there, but would like to do some humanitarian service in Latin America with my wife. I need much better Spanish capability to do this.

Sí, entiendo.

you (plural) want = quieran (when present subjective as in "it is good that you want")
you (plural) want = quieren (when present tense)
you (singular) correct = corrija (when present subjective)
you (singular) correct = corrige (when present tense)

Hey Rusty,

Did you correct the "usted" and "su" for the above reason only or was there another reason you corrected it?

I know that "usted" is still widely used in Latin America so I was perplexed when I saw your corrections.

As a matter of fact, I address everyone that I come in contact with in my job by "usted" unless of course it is someone I know personally.

Just wondering.
