al revés or del revés = inside out
I also found that «poner al revés» means 'upside down (upside-down)'. In addition to what Angelica wrote, I've also heard and used «puesto boca abajo» and «puesto patas arriba» in Central America. These can be translated as 'a mess' or 'topsy-turvy', as well. Last edited by Rusty; September 05, 2025 at 03:27 PM. |

al revés (remera/polo/playera/camiseta)
patas para arriba = cabeza abajo (cuadro/pintura, afiche/póster, mapa, plano) dado vuelta (bolsa, prenda de vestir, todo lo anterior) invertido = upside down boca abajo = invertido (persona, copa, vaso, pote, maceta)
