Here's what I'm seeing.
Native speakers Mandarin 900M Hindustani 350M Spanish 330M English 310M Portuguese 220M Most etimates have English as being the most spoken and most used language worldwide by a large margin, when including non-native speakers at more than 1.5 billion.

The only reason Mandarin the most widely spoken is because China has the largest population. After that is India.

It's not truth, the English is the most widely used in the word later the Spanish is the most used.
