Pelusa

This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for June 8, 2009

pelusa (feminine noun (la)) — fluff, fuzz, down, lint, dust. Look up pelusa in the dictionary

Me molesta que la ropa salga de la lavadora llena de pelusa.
It irritates me when my clothes come out of the washer covered in lint.

BTW, of course there is the one and only "El Pelusa" (Diego Armando Maradonna).

En chile y en argentina pelusa se les dice al niño travieso, pero muy travieso. Además de significar fuzz.

La palabra "pelouse" (francés) tiene otra significación. Es un césped en español o "lawn" en inglés, pero "la peluche" (francés) es "pelusa" o"fluff"

In Spain "pelusa" means also the jealousy of the children.

Mi hijo pequeño tiene mucha "pelusa" de su hermano mayor.
