In this case, I think day program refers to some type of alternative classes/studies/education as opposed to going to school. It could be for kids or adults. But to be honest, I'm not sure exactly what it means, so I'm not sure how I would translate it.
How about: Does the client attend school or a day program? ¿El cliente asiste a la escuela o está en otro sistema de educación? I found this ad for a day program instructor, and it sounds like it would be someone who takes care of disabled kids who can't go to school.
