What are they showing or playing at the cine...
I've read several different translations for "what's playing at the cinema" or "what are they showing at the cinema". I've seen "poner", "echar", "dar" etc.
I'm curious, since we have a lot of native spanish speakers here from several different countries, as to how you express this idea in your country.

¿Qué hay en el cine? ¿Qué películas están/hay en la cartelera? ¿Qué películas están/hay en el cine? Revisé la cartelera, pero no hay nada qué ver.

Otra mexicana: "¿Qué pasan en el cine?"
Si aquí preguntas qué dan en el cine, nadie sabe que te refieres a las películas... a lo mejor alguien responde: "palomitas, pero hay que pagarlas". O:-)

¿Qué están pasando/dando en el cine? ¿Qué dan en el cine? ¿Qué hay en el cine?
