Panda de barrandas
¿Qué significa panda de barrandas? ¿Algo falso y deshonesto? A bunch of
crooks?

Tambien la palabra barranda me confunde. Me parece que su significado
cambia entre paises. ¿Se puede usarlo en lugur de pasamano?

I've heard "anda de parranda" and "barandilla" for "pasamanos" but not "panda de barrandas". ¿Context?

I agree with Ambarina. I've never heard it Are you sure that it's "barranda"?

Si, lo encontré en un comentario de un lector después de un artículo que se trata de una beca que la UE está otorgando a la industria de cine español. El lector puso un comentario negativo escribiendo que la comisión es una panda de barrandas. (a bunch of crooks?-like una pandilla de pandilleros )

Never heard of it either.

bunch of crooks= pandilla/banda de ladrones not pandilleros

Here a "panda" is a group of people, with bad intentions or not.

The RAE says that "baranda" is a pejorative term. But "barranda"...

De panda lo único que sabía era del oso panda.

Pando que está pandeado

lo demás es nuevo para mí.

Baranda es barandilla y como un argentino amigo mio dice "traer mal olor" o "haber mal olor"

Lo demás totalmente nuevo para mí.

I think the word is "baranda", not "barranda"...

According to the RAE:

Me parece que Angela lo tiene correcto con baranda. Ya sé que el dicho
panda de barandas no es muy común,
pero en inglés significa a bunch of unsavory people.
