Be aware that the Spanish word alumnos and the English word alumni
have different meanings. I did not know that until this post.

"Alumno" in Spanish is student or pupil, but in the English word "alumnus" means "graduate". That's curious that this word in Romance languages has changed its form but not its meaning (cat. alumne, it. alunno), while in English this word has not changed its form but its meaning. I wonder why (maybe the alumnus finished his studies
