Well, you can always say something in addition to everything else...
![]() ![]() Moliner gives no less than 17 definitions for "quedar" and the one that seems to apply better to the original post is "Resultar en cierta situación o estado por efecto de alguna acción propia o ajena o algún suceso: ‘Ha quedado en ridículo. El trabajo ha quedado perfecto. Quedó cojo de resultas del accidente’. Here are some more examples, for your benefit and practice... el coche ha quedado como nuevo = the car is as good as new (now) algunas fotos quedaron mal = some of the photos came out badly ha quedado precioso pintado de blanco = it looks beautiful painted white ha quedado acordado que … = it has been agreed that … y que esto quede bien claro = and I want to make this quite clear ¿cómo quedó la cosa? ¿quién tenía razón? = what happened in the end? who was right? ¿dónde quedamos la clase pasada? = where did we get (up) to in the last class? ¿Queda ahora más claro? ![]() ![]()

![]() I used to have a hard-copy Moliner and I must have misplaced somewhere... Nowadays I am using now a CD ROM I got as a gift few years ago. (I'd just written "CD room" due to my inconscious-preconscious-obnoxious brain Made in Spain... ![]() The publisher is Gredos, S.A. (2nd Edition) (c) 2001. I tried to find a version on-line, but haven't been successful. There are many sites regarding the dictionary, though. (I particularly like it for its many examples of real usage, and also even if it is not a Thesaurus, it has quite a number of synonyms, and idiomatic expressions, that are very helpful when you are translating... or writing...)

Okay ... I've heard good things about the Moliner before. I have a Larousse and an RAE in hard copy ... but would love to find an online searchable Moliner.......
