Digno de

I think I have heard this term in spoken Spanish. I think it means vale la pena but stronger. (Digno de verlo) Did I hear this correctly?

aleCcowaN is on a distinguished road
digno de (infinitivo)= worth (-ing) ---> digno de verse = worth looking
digno de (noun) = noun-worthy ---> digno de elogio = praiseworthy
digno de (a noun) = fit for (a noun) ---> digno de un rey = fit for a king

but there are some uses I can't translate:

digno de (name) = very much in (name)'s style / as outstanding as (name)'s / ????

preparó una cena digna de Doña Petrona ---> she made a banquet ....... Julia Child's
